Before hopping off for a regular art supplies run, you might want to get some breakfast. Here's a quick recipe for fruit salad and green tea that will get you through the day.
Get your hands on:
- 1/2 a grapefruit
- 1/2 and apple
- banana chips of any kind (although Trader Joe's vacuum fried banana chips work best due to their extra crisp)
- nutmeg
- green tea (in a bag)
- a pain au chocolat is served here, but toast, english muffins or blinis work just fine.
 |
Begin scooping out grapefruit flesh into a bowl without removing too much juice. |
 |
Dice apples, then mix them into bowl with grapefruit.. |
 |
Crush bananas and add them to fruit: do not mix them in. |
 |
Sprinkle a small amount of nutmeg on fruit. |
 |
Squeeze the remaining juice out of the grapefruit half into a glass, then place green tea and let sit for 2-3 minutes. |
And voilà. Just add the pain au chocolat or bread of your choice and you're set!
Cheers,
The Editor
